Hi Andrea, Great designs. I really love the idea of a bulldog creature. I would like to see the shapes pushed further. Right now it's mostly reading as a stylized bulldog. Maybe mix in some different elements from other animals on the face so that it looks more alien. Exotic colors might help it look more unique.
Annie-- I'm balancing with Jesse's comments. The bulldog creature reads as just a hunched bulldog without much else. I think playing with the shapes more and adding in new features would really push it as an alien creature. Playing with how it moves or is colored would really make it pop.
The elepig is cute! I kind of wish he was the one you colored!
Cute creatures! Like the others said, I'd make them a bit more 'alien looking.' Also, I'd like to see a size comparison. Is the elephant/pig the size of an elephant or pig? Or something else? And I'd maybe add a bit more dramatic lighting on the dog. Great job!
These guys are fun. :) The bulldog seems a bit unbalanced to me, though... perhaps if you move that dog's left leg out a little (or move the right leg more towards the center), he'll feel a little more stable?
