These were made using a kit bashing technique in Zbrush. It isn't that dissimilar from what they did when they built the original space ships in Starwars. The model making team went out and bought hundreds of model kits of airplanes, ships, and tanks and pieced them together to make something new. I wasn't so happy with my vehicle design in this class, and since I am teaching myself Zbrush, I thought what the heck.
